• Founded in 1994, the Ohio Rugby Classic has gained national and international attention as not only one of the nation's premiere rugby events.
• The Ohio Rugby Classic is recognized by USA Rugby as a template of how to expand the sport at the youth (Under-15) and high school levels.

Youth Rugby Futures

• The Ohio Rugby Classic is the operating and fundraising arm of the not-for-profit Ohio Youth Rugby Foundation (a 501C-3 corporation).
• Since its inception in 1994, nine high school rugby programs in Columbus and another 12 in Cleveland have been formed. Additionally, several Under-15 programs are operating in these cities.
• The Ohio Youth Rugby Foundation remains a key provider of grants to help fund these programs.
• The Ohio Youth Rugby Foundation is working with representatives from other cities throughout the Buckeye State to further expand high school rugby.
